Experience

Will McPhail spent 14 years at Sotheby’s, working at the intersection of the company’s Business Development, Marketing and Creative divisions, most recently as Global Head of Proposals.

Will has a broad, holistic understanding of the art and luxury market as well as deep professional expertise and engagement within the bidding industry and generative AI technologies, as an active member of the Association of Proposals Management Professionals (APMP).

Equally comfortable discussing analytics as he is creative practises, he is a regular at fairs, talks and conferences – in both the arts and proposals spheres – and has lectured at Sotheby’s Institute of Art on Understanding and Using ‘Art Market’ Data and on Innovation & Diversification in a Changing Marketplace.

Upskill your team

Creating compelling proposals and presentations is absolutely central to success in a complex, competitive marketplace.

Such work is directly revenue-generating, and investment in its success can offer transparent, meaningful value-for-money.

Bid writing is also a specialist, professional skill and a craft honed through years of experience; yet few companies outside of the defence, healthcare, technology and government contracting industries are able to invest in dedicated proposals teams.

At the same time, the rise of generative AI and other technologies is creating immense opportunities for companies to transform how they research and write, but it is vital to choose the best solution for your needs.

Your Culture Pitch can help you solve this skills and knowledge gap.
